1.1 This test method is an oral two-generation reproduction study designed to provide general information concerning the effects of a pesticide or chemical on gonadal function, conception, parturition, and the growth and development of the offspring of rats.
1.2 This test method may also provide information concerning the effects of the test substance on neonatal morbidity, mortality, and preliminary data on teratogenesis and serve as a guide for subsequent tests.
1.3 This test method assumes that the user is knowledgeable in mammalian toxicology and related pertinent areas, and relies heavily on the judgment of the evaluator.
