Training Videos

The training videos promote cost effective methods for auto body and paint shops to reduce waste and emissions, improve compliance with environmental regulations and reduce operating costs.  The videos can be viewed by clicking on the links provided below. 

  • Reducing Paint Waste: Topics include managing inventory, color matching, paint measuring, handling left over paint, calibrated paint cup liners, tintable primer systems and spray paint booth technology.
  •  Managing Your Sanding Waste: Focuses on controlling wet and dry sanding waste. Topics discussed include portable vacuum sanders, centralized vacuum system, minimizing water use and collecting wet sanding waste.
  • Cleaning Paint Spray Guns: Discusses pollution prevention strategies that include 2-stage cleaning, enclosed automatic gun washing equipment, disposable gun liners, and alternative (less toxic) gun cleaning technology.
  • Proper Solvent Recycling: Topics addressed include choosing an offsite solvent recycler, solvent waste transportation,onsite solvent recycling equipment and deciding if onsite solvent recycling is right for you.
  • Managing Wastewater: Issues discussed include keeping wastewater out of storm drains, minimizing the contaminants entering the wastewater stream, managing car wash water, wastewater recycling, spill prevention, and pretreating wastewater.
