OEHHA Releases Pre-regulatory Draft on Hazard Traits The Office of Environmental Health Hazard Assessment (OEHHA) releases pre-regulatory draft and schedules August 23 workshop on hazard traits. SB 509 (Simitian, Statutes of 2008) requires OEHHA to identify hazard traits, endpoints and other relevant data for the Toxic Information Clearinghouse to be operated by DTSC. OEHHA is taking comments on this pre-regulatory draft until September 13.
DTSC Holds Second Symposium on Alternatives Analysis Through its second symposium on alternatives analysis, DTSC took another step toward establishing a cleaner California. Alternatives Analysis Symposium II: Case Studies from the Field provided insight from companies that have established alternatives analysis programs. The July 28 symposium was free to the public. Theagenda and presenter biographies are available in our archive, and presentations have been posted.
