Archived Seminar Presentations DTSC hosted a free, one-day pollution prevention and compliance assistance seminar on January 9, 2008 at Mission College in Santa Clara, California. This seminar focused on providing information to businesses that operate metal finishing and waste water pretreatment processes on how to prevent environmental violations, reduce waste and emissions and associated costs, and stay current with local regulatory issues. The Metal Finishing Model Shop Program held a free seminar on September 17, 2008, for businesses that perform metal finishing and operate pretreatment systems. This seminar covered how to prevent environmental violations, reduce waste and emissions, conserve water and energy, and stay current with local regulatory issues. Staff from DTSC, South Coast Air Quality Management and industrial waste water programs in the region presented information to help operators run cleaner, safer shops.
