What P2 Model Shops are Saying...

City of Napa Fleet Management Division

"The City of Napa, Fleet Management division is proud to be recognized as a ‘Model Pollution Prevention Shop’ by the DTSC. ‘Greening the Fleet’ is an operational way-of-life, not just another Eco-fad mantra. We truly believe in the concepts of the program. Every Fleet staff member has been involved in this program; from presenting training modules, to performing the Dry Shop Spill Cleanup method, to policing the storage and disposal of fluids. I encourage other fleets to pursue this designation; it is good for your shop and good for the earth."

Chris Burgeson, Fleet Manager - City of Napa

AAMCO West Sacramento Model P2 Shop Award

"AAMCO West Sacramento takes great pride in meeting the strict criteria that is required to become a P2 model shop. Through hard work and high operating standards, we believe that our shop has a positive impact on our community and our environment. We are very proud of our accomplishment and will continue to do our best to maintain a clean and safe place to shop and work."

Pam Liberty and Scott Hammond

"Granite firmly believes in continually evaluating and improving the way we address our environmental responsibilities. The P2 Model Shop Program is a great recognition for our team's ongoing efforts to prevent pollution and deliver enduring value for our communities, shareholders and other stakeholders."

Mike Heddinger, Manager of Construction Materials Granite Construction, Sacramento Valley Branch

"The beauty of the Model Shop program is that our operation already had most of the program requirements in place, and that made the few changes very easy to accept. We had to implement a few procedures, but the mechanics and shop personnel have really embraced the goal of minimizing their environmental impacts. That is a pretty significant achievement all by itself, and reducing our hazardous waste production will be a metric we will be watching closely."

David J. White, Environmental Manager Santa Barbara Branch, Granite Construction Company

“We’re extremely proud of this award and of our team who helped make it happen. In addition, it is nice to work for a company that expects us to be good stewards of the environment.”

Hop Essick, Stockton Branch Manager of Granite Construction Company - Stockton

We're a better operation because of its attributes: it's a win - win for everyone!  I highly recommend this program."

Paul Condran, Equipment Maintenance Manager, City of Culver City
