Pollution Prevention Week 2011 Videos
Pollution Prevention Week 2011 Video Contest
In celebration of National Pollution Prevention Week (September 19-25), DTSC and the Western Sustainability and Pollution Prevention Network (WSPPN) are asking everyday people just like you to make a short video that shows how making small changes in our daily lives can have a big, positive impact on the environment. Pollution Prevention Week 2011 is about the power every individual has to make a difference.
The contest theme, “It Starts With Me”, illustrates how our own personal decisions can have a positive impact on the environment. If you share your experience on how to reduce your environmental footprint, others can take notice and do the same. In this way, one individual's influence can create awareness in their community by setting a good example and being proactive. Videos submitted for this contest should encourage the audience to make choices that support pollution prevention. Send us your video showing us the positive impact that could be achieved if everyone made a commitment to support pollution prevention. For examples of pollution prevention, click here.
