Final Decision to Certify Hazardous Waste Environmental Technology Double Containment Piping System Certification No: 94-01-002 Note: This certification expired on July 25, 1997 Technology Description: This is a hazardous waste management technology which consists of a double-containment pipe and associated fittings for carrying hazardous wastes or substances. The outer (secondary) pipe captures unexpected leaks from the inner (primary) pipe which consequently protects public health and the environment from the threat of release. The piping system is designed to accommodate off-the-shelf leak detection sensors as an integral part of a dual containment system which meets the requirements of Hazardous Waste Management Regulations.
