Proposition 65 prohibits California businesses from knowingly discharging or threatening to discharge chemicals known to cause cancer or reproductive toxicity into sources of drinking water.

Proposition 65 also requires businesses to notify Californians about exposures to significant amounts of chemicals on the Proposition 65 list that cause cancer, birth defects or other reproductive harm. The chemicals could be in the products that Californians purchase for use in their homes or workplaces, or they could be released into the environment by the business’ operations.

Proposition 65 applies ONLY to:

• Businesses with 10 or more employees
• Chemicals listed as carcinogens or reproductive toxicants available at http://www.oehha.ca.gov/prop65/prop65_list/Newlist.html

Check this box if you have a complaint involving a business with 10 or more employees causing:

1. an exposure to a chemical on the Proposition 65 list OR
2. the discharge or release of a chemical on the Proposition 65 list to a potential source of drinking water
