Litiana Patino, Chief, Office of Civil Rights
Litiana Patino is the Chief, Office of Civil Rights, Department of Toxic Substances Control. Patino was promoted to Chief on April 18, 2016, after serving as lead in the office for two months. She began her career with DTSC in May of 2014 in the role of Equal Employment Opportunity Specialist in the Office of Civil Rights. Prior to her employment with the State of California, Patino worked as an analyst for the US Drug Enforcement Administration. She also has experience in the legal field as a legal assistant and as a Special Investigator. She earned a bachelor’s degree in psychology and a master’s degree in forensic psychology from Marymount University.
