Richard Liroff, Ph.D. Investor Environmental Health Network

Dr. Richard Liroff founded and serves as Executive Director of the Investor Environmental Health Network, a group of investment management organizations advised by environmental health advocates, working to reduce production and use of toxic chemicals by business. Investors have engaged companies via letters, meetings, and shareholder resolutions. (See https://iehn.org/home.php for resolutions introduced and results.)

Dr. Liroff developed IEHN after more than two decades' work at World Wildlife Fund, where as a Senior Program Officer he directed projects on toxic chemicals and other subjects. Prior to his work at WWF, Dr. Liroff was affiliated with The Environmental Law Institute and was a guest scholar and research fellow at The Brookings Institution. Dr. Liroff is author/editor of a half dozen books and more than 50 articles and reports on environmental policy. He holds a Ph.D. in Political Science from Northwestern University and a B.A. in Politics from Brandeis University.
